Founded in 1980, Reach Trading Company has grown into one of Singapore's leading food suppliers. Over the years, we have established ourselves as an innovative peeled produce specialist. All high quality produce are sustainably sourced and hand picked from all over the world, processed with our proprietary machines and packed in Singapore to ensure zero quality loss and maximum efficiency. Sight: Smooth surface, no bruises and cuts.

Smell: Fresh garlic has NO smell. It’s not until you chop into the garlic that it starts to give off its sharp, heady aroma. The more you chop or crush the garlic, the stronger the flavor and scent become, as an enzyme called allinase, which converts odorless alliin molecules into garlic's distinct pungent, sulfurous allicin are released into the air — and into your food. Hence, buying fresh garlic is always way more superior and nutritious than chopped or minced garlic!

Smell: Similar to fresh garlic, fresh shallots and onions have NO smell. It’s not until you chop into the onion that it emits a fume of mild sulfuric acid which may cause you to tear. Cutting tips - Some insist you can limit the irritation by cutting the root end last as most of the sulfuric acid are located there!

There are many different varieties of garlic, shallots, onions, potatoes and lotus root all over the world.
We specialize in a rarer variety of garlic, known as hardneck garlic which are characterized by their hard woody stalks, as compared to the more commonly found softneck garlic.
Hardneck garlic tastes fuller and richer as it contains up to 3x more allicin than softneck garlic. Allicin is known for its numerous health benefits of anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-hypertension just to name a few, making it a true superfood!
Similar to garlic, there are numerous variety of shallots and onions all over the world. We only pick and process the finest variety of shallots and onions.
Every single piece of produce undergoes numerous stages of in-house stringent quality checks and is processed through our very own self-designed proprietary machinery. This ensures the long shelf life of our products despite being 100% free of additives and preservatives.
